Position:  Application Engineer/Pre-sales support

Location: Italy

Job Responsibilities

• Assisting sales force with revenue generation by providing relevant technical skills
• Demo Workbench to Project leaders, Department heads, and IT directors
• Support the company at trade shows and seminars
• Convert technical benefits to business benefits
• Drive and assist customer workshop sessions
• Work directly with customers, partners to fully understand customer needs
• Training & consulting in post-sales environment
• Provide feedback from the field to product marketing and engineering

Qualifications

• Highly proficient with a PC
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluent English and Italian
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows NT or UNIX operating systems
• Knowledge of application architecture (Client/Server, Internet, n-tier)
• Knowledge of project and development issues based on previous experience as a senior developer, project leader, …
• Knowledge of at least a standard RDBMS (Oracle, MS-SQL Server, Sybase ASE, DB2, ...)
• Knowledge of at least one modern programming language such as C++, Java, Visual Basic, Power Builder, …
• Knowledge of application design with OO Methodology or E/R modeling
